I just bought it and used it on my first road trip, I love it… It is great to not have to turn on your computer just to power up the ipod shuffle. Apple wants nearly $30 for the same charger and this one is smaller and only $4.99. A great deal.

What a waste of money. I wish someone had posted before the Dec. 22 posting (which was excellent) pointing out that this device doesn’t work on an iPod “shuffle”. I spent more to ship this item than I did for the item itself, so I am also stuck with one.

This charger will not charge an iPod shuffle. I received an email from zip-linq saying so, I also bought one and tried. They are coming out with one that will charge an iPod shuffle soon, but this is not it!! If you want this for anything else I suggest going to zip_linq and checking compatibility first. It is a good price but turned out to be a waste of money for me. Would cost more to return it than what I paid.

Unlike the previous reviewer, Les Ferch, who states that this product doesn’t work with 5g iPods…it DOES work with them! I am charging one with it right now! See, the problem is that it sometimes seems to not charge at all and you have to unplug it a few times or disconnect the iPod from the usb cords, and then it will start charging. Sometimes you can charge it right off the bat. The first two times I tried charging my 5g iPod, it worked completely fine. It started charging right away. Then after I moved directions of the Zip-Linq wall plug, the iPod seemed to not charge anymore. Just play around with it and it will work.

I have 2 of these and I’m using them to charge various MP3 players, a PDA and a Holux GPS unit. Also powers a gooseneck USB LED light.
